About Our Academy

Prism Society Academy is a dynamic learning platform created to support LGBTQIA+ individuals, allies, civil-society actors, organizations, and small and medium-sized enterprises with timely, relevant, and accessible knowledge.

Developed in response to growing misinformation, discrimination, and the need for locally grounded education, the Academy offers learning opportunities that promote inclusion, equality, human rights, and safer communities.

Our curriculum is built around three core pillars: online learning, institutional training, and community-based training. Whether you are participating individually, joining through an organization, or engaging through one of our partner institutions, the Academy is designed to provide practical and meaningful learning experiences.

Academy content may be delivered in Arabic and English and adapted to different levels of internet access, technology, and participant needs. From self-paced learning materials to interactive workshops and professional training sessions, every program is designed to inform, empower, and inspire.

Learning Pathways

Prism Society Academy offers flexible educational opportunities designed for individuals, professionals, organizations, and communities. Our programs combine practical knowledge, interactive learning, and evidence-based resources to promote inclusion, equality, and human rights.

Online Learning

Our online learning platform provides accessible, self-paced educational resources that participants can complete from anywhere. Courses are designed to increase understanding of LGBTQIA+ inclusion, equality, human rights, diversity, and community engagement while allowing learners to study according to their own schedules.

Learning materials may include recorded lessons, downloadable resources, interactive activities, case studies, and practical exercises available in Arabic and English.

Institutional Training

Prism Society provides specialized training programs for organizations, educational institutions, healthcare providers, humanitarian actors, government agencies, businesses, and civil-society organizations seeking to strengthen inclusive professional practices.

Sessions focus on inclusive communication, safeguarding, human rights, respectful service delivery, workplace inclusion, anti-discrimination principles, and practical approaches for creating safer environments.

Community-Based Training

Community training programs empower activists, volunteers, community leaders, youth groups, and local organizations through practical workshops and collaborative learning experiences that strengthen advocacy and community engagement.

Introduction to Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Gender Expression, and Sexual Characteristics

About the Course

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of sexuality, including sex, sexual characteristics, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. Participants gain a practical understanding of how these concepts differ and how they influence social, cultural, legal, and personal experiences.

The course also provides learners with the opportunity to better understand the experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals while addressing common myths and misconceptions through an inclusive, evidence-based approach.
